Amtrak from Providence to NYC

From a member of our community:

Can you give me some information on Amtrak use and Arcelatravel from Providence to NYC. Also sleeper car information

The wheelchair accessible cars are in the front of the train… it is a level transfer from the platform to train in Providence. The trip only takes about three hours so there are no sleeper cars on the Acela (or any Northeast Corridor trains)

Received this in response from our FB post!

When you are at providence or penn station ask for skycap assistance. This is a free service offered to anyone regardless if your disability is obvious or hidden. The skycap helps with luggage, helps find a place to sit, makes sure you are settled on the train before it moves. I do tip, but it’s not required.
