I’d like to get a little feedback from travelers that have actually had a positive experience renting a Hoyer lift on vacation.
I’d love to take my daughter on a little get away but she’s in a wheelchair and I would need a Hoyer lift since I can’t lift her any more. (We have the Hoyer Channel System at home).
Would appreciate any replies. Thx
In the past I used to call the local chapter of the local chapter of
ALS and in Florida they used to deliver it one and then come and get it after we left.
I rented one from Special Needs at Sea for a client on a cruise. It was delivered to his cabin on the day of embarkation and they picked it up when the cruise ended
I am exploring this right now, for a cruise we will be taking in March. I will let you know what I find out.
Fortunately, in Sevierville, TN, there is a company that rents them and does a very reliable job delivering to my cabins when a guest requests it. You might try asking the host wherever you are going if they know of a company that rents (and delivers) to your vacation spot.
