Looking for info on accessible activities (and availability of mobility scooters) in Branson, Missouri

My husband and I will be traveling to Branson, MO in a few weeks (June 11-18) and will be staying in a 10 BR home with lots of family from various places, and fortunately it has a couple of ground floor bedrooms that are ADA-equipped. So I’ll be looking for accessible things to do in Branson, but also looking for possibly daily mobility scooter rentals. I don’t want to rent one for the week because we won’t have a way to cart it around, and I don’t know what our itinerary is for each day until we get there. We’re pretty much going to decide that when we all get there. But I was hoping to get some ideas from anyone who has been there.

Hi hi! Apologies for my delay in response here. I’ve never been to Branson, but have done some research. Sounds like a great rental property! 10 bedrooms, wow!

For Scooters, this is what I found:

With travel scooters that accommodate up to 500 lbs and wheelchairs that are able to handle up to 700 lbs, Branson Mobility Rentals offers many different types and styles of motorized and non-motorized options for you to rent while you’re in town.

Just some of their rentals available include:

  • Travel scooters (that can handle up to 325 lbs)
  • Heavy duty scooter rentals (that can handle up to 400 lbs)
  • Extra heavy duty scooters (that can handle up to 500 lbs)
  • Power wheelchairs
  • Lift chairs
  • Walkers
  • Shower chairs
  • …and many other electric and manual pieces of equipment you might need when visiting!

So whether you’re debating packing your own equipment, or need something while you’re in town – Branson Mobility Rentals offers a wide range of choices and options to help you while you’re in Branson.

Silver Dollar City Scooter Rentals

In addition to their regular wheelchair and scooter rentals, the company also specializes in rentals for those visiting the Silver Dollar City theme and amusement park.

Able to accommodate up to 500 lbs, there are several types of scooters and options available for guests of the theme park.

While Silver Dollar City does offer on-site scooter rentals, we highly recommend that those with special accommodations, requests, or needs to call ahead to either the park or Branson Mobility Rentals and ensure that they are all set up beforehand prior to visiting the park.

Branson Landing Wheelchairs & Electric Scooters

Guests visiting the Branson Landing, have wheelchairs and electric scooters for their convenience to use while shopping, dining, and visiting the Landing.

Simply visit one of the on-site information centers when you arrive.

Please be aware that these are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

As far as things to do, the Titanic Museum seems like a great time! Highly rated.

Emily - Thanks for this comprehensive information on rentals in Branson. This will be great info to have with me when we go. We’re actually going to a mobility equipment supplier today to initiate the conversation about buyer a power wheelchair or scooter. We have so many questions about owning one and traveling with one, trailering vs. carrying in back of SUV, using it outdoors, then coming indoors with it (think dirty tires on hardwood floors and carpet), etc.
Wish us luck!

Yes, good luck! Keep us posted with how it goes.
