Travel in Kuala Lumpur
I found Kuala Lumpur to in general not be particularly accessible. On the other hand, getting around with Gett (app hailed car service) was effective and cheap. This may not always have worked if I was in a wheelchair.
I traveled to KL two weeks ago with my Eagle electric wheelchair. I’m not totally confined to the chair but for most areas there was no issue. KL is a very busy city with a lot of traffic.
So pavements were okay and there are curb cut- outs?
We didn’t actually go through the city very much, but at the tourist attractions like the palace and the Petronis towers there we both curb cuts and ramps. Pavement was perfect in the areas we traversed.
