Using a room key with disabled hands

My hands are partially paralyzed and I have always struggled with swipe card room keys. Travel with a 4 inch length of string tied in a loop large enough to put one or two fingers through. When you get your key tape the string to it at a place where you would hold the card when using it.
Before inserting the key into the slot pass your finger through the loop so you can pull the key from the lock.

Great idea.
FYI, those keys are disposable, ask the clerk to use a paper hole punch to put a hole in the card and have them slip the string (should be a tied loop) through the hole and feed it through the string to secure the card to it.

No more tape residue!

These are great tips. Thanks!

This is great!! I need to add this to my credit card. I’ve seen people with long nails carry tweezers, but I’m unsure I would be able to grip the tweezers hard enough and pull the card at the same time.

Great ideas. May seem trivial to most people but for someone with hand or arm problems this is a game changer. Someone should make this and sell them.
